To work or to travel - that is the question. To work and travel is the answer.

Broome addiction

It looks like we're staying in Broome till the end of next month, i.e. July. That is longer, much longer than we had initially planned. But then again things don't always come planned, in fact, they almost never do. Especially when you're young, when you're free, when you're travelling. Life is full of surprises that we don't foresee.. and if we did, I guess they wouldn't be surprises :)

The Western Australian country town has something that makes you stay. The carefree lifestyle, neverending sunshine, swinging palm trees, sandy beaches and the remote location. The lack of shops, a few bars, limited civilization, limited access to phone, TV, radio and other telecommunicational devices (but unlimited access to wireless Internet :P) Which, to be honest, I hardly miss.

Things could be even better if we worked a little less, but then again it's our own choice and decision. The combination that is currently imbalanced as 75% work and 25% holiday is soon gonna turn into 0% work and 100% holiday when we take off for our next destination Darwin at the end of next month. The long journey via Darwin, Alice Springs (Uluru) and Adelaide is going to take us back to Melbourne by mid August when Kalle, our very special guest, arrives Down Under to travel a fair bit with us. The flights have just been booked!!! Action plan and hot spots include:

  1. Aug 16-22. Melbourne, and Great Ocean Road.
  2. Aug 22-25. Melbourne-Launceston-Hobart-Sydney. Tassie trip.
  3. Aug 25-29. Sydney tour.
  4. Aug 29-31. Byron Bay and Gold Coast holiday.
  5. Sept 1-4. Brisbane weekend.
  6. Sept 4-11. Hamilton Island, Whitsundays and Great Barrier Reef. Dream vacation :)

BON VOYAGE!! (#)
